WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON?

Hi. It's been a while. I don't really have any excuse other than life took over, but I think it's about time I came back. I'll be honest, I haven't looked at my blog for a very long time. I haven't looked at numbers, read back old posts.. or even read the ones I was following. I just stopped altogether. However, for the first time this week, I decided to have a look at my statistics just to see what I'd be working with when I return. The thing I was not expecting, was to see my posts were still being viewed by hundreds each month. I haven't posted in 18 months yet you are still reading, new people still following. That really blew my mind, I was expecting to see next to nothing. So a huge thank you. 
So here we have it. We have a new website, new branding and a new start. I was previously under hollysergeant.com but to keep continuity with my YouTube channel, I now own hollymarie.co.uk instead. 

What's changed? 
I took on a bigger role at work around 12 months ago and in a few weeks time I'll be taking on a bigger role from that. This is where most of my time has gone. Days off spent catching up on things I haven't been able to get done, or just.. catching up on sleep. We also bought a puppy. She's an apricot cockapoo called Rosie. Now this isn't news at all, we have actually had her for two years and funnily enough the last post I had sat in my drafts was an introduction to Rosie, combined with a puppy advice post. That post quite clearly never got finished so I did well there.
We bought a house. Again, it's not new, but it is to readers that may not follow me on social media. We're currently in the middle of redecorating our bedroom, not just a little bit, but quite a lot. So maybe that's some content to look out for! I've also taken a few trips, all of which I want to share on here. Travel is one of my favourite things. I would spend all my money travelling if I could, but that's not really the adult thing to do when you have a mortgage (unfortunately.) But you can expect content surrounding Dominican Republic, Mexico, Berlin & Krakow. 
Finally, I just wanted to address the current situation we are in surrounding COVID-19. It's not a topic I've spoken out on much because all we can do is take each day as it comes, but I hope everyone is staying safe and doing okay in this crazy time. We'll get there.
