Living By The Coast

by - March 19, 2017

One of my favourite places to be is by the coast. Aside from the first 4 years of my life, (and even then it was only 30 minutes away) I've always lived by the sea. I feel like because of this, I sometimes take it for granted as it's always been there. I forget that for a lot of people, going to the coast entails a full day trip.

We moved to the other side of the world, and even then we ended up in a coastal town, taking walks on the beach after school. I've just always lived by the coast. I couldn't imagine not having it there, being hours from the beach and not having that open space.

The weather has perked up quite a lot recently, it finally feels like Spring. It doesn't usually last very long, so last week Pete & I decided to make the most of it and spent the afternoon walking down the beach front.

There's just something about the kind of air you breathe by the sea. The breeze. The sound of seagulls. The waves. The beach huts. There's a sense of freedom and everything is so open. Wide open. There was even a guy that had brought his guitar, and was sat on a bench just playing. He wasn't busking, just genuinely sat on a bench with his guitar.

It's just so nice.
